Our Neapolitan Roots

Sapori Napoletani is rooted in tradition and in recipes lovingly passed down through generations. What began as a simple hobby at home and in the backyard grew into a small, family-owned restaurant and pizzeria in a Norwood Park strip mall—and has now become an elevated, two-floor destination in the Dunning neighborhood, with a cozy rooftop, golden bars, and mosaic golden ovens, perfect for romantic nights, family gatherings, and special celebrations.

Our path is paved with a reverence for premium ingredients, hand-selected to honor Neapolitan culinary ancestry. We welcome you to immerse yourself in our timeless heritage, where genuine hospitality meets the elegant artistry of polished Italian service.

Meet The Owners

Antonio Vitiello

owner

Born and raised in Naples, Italy, Antonio brings a lifetime of passion, tradition, and experience to every dish he creates. His journey began at just 8 years old, working alongside his family in their pizzeria, where he learned the art of Neapolitan pizza making and developed a deep appreciation for authentic Italian hospitality.

Years later, Antonio and his wife brought those same traditions to the United States, specifically in the Norwood Park community, opening a restaurant built on family values, genuine hospitality, and the flavors of Naples. Along with him came his father's treasured pizza dough recipe—a recipe that has been passed down through generations and remains at the heart of every pizza served today.

As the restaurant grew and the community embraced their vision, Antonio knew it was time for the next chapter. He relocated to a larger space, allowing Sapori Napoletani to evolve while staying true to its roots. Today, guests can enjoy the same authentic traditions, family recipes, and welcoming atmosphere that Antonio grew up with—now elevated in a beautiful new setting in the Dunning neighborhood, designed to celebrate the spirit of Naples.

Ewelina

Owner

Originally from Poland, Ewelina’s life transformed at eighteen when she moved to Italy and met her husband, Antonio. In the heart of Naples, she found more than just love; she found a second family in her neighbor, Nonna Maria. It was in that cozy kitchen that Ewelina mastered the soulful art of Neapolitan cooking, learning the delicate balance of fresh seafood, hand-rolled pastas, and time-honored family secrets. Today, Ewelina serves as the heart of Sapori Napoletani’s hospitality, infusing every guest experience with the same warmth she received from Nonna Maria. She is dedicated to preserving these cherished Italian traditions, ensuring that every visitor feels like family while savoring the authentic flavors and refined service of Naples.
